Sydney International Wine Competition is a highly respected, independent self-funded food-oriented wine show now in its 37th year.
With a significant emphasis on food and wine pairing, it is the ideal judging forum for David. Even better — as a stage 2 Master of Wine of wine student — the opportunity to spend a week with 13 wine experts at the top of their game, including 6 Masters of Wine, is an exceptional opportunity. The judging will take place in the Blue Mountains during the week beginning 10th October and the winners will be announced 28th October. As the reserve judge, David will be invited to fill a position If one of the selected 13 judges becomes unwell or unavailable. In the meantime, he will participate in the judging tastings, and it will be at the head judges discretion whether to consider his comments.
David says "I am truly delighted for this opportunity to mingle with some the best palates in the world of wine. This international judging panel has such a diverse range of skills and backgrounds that it makes it a very unique and exciting group of professionals. Additionally, to be able to taste some of the best wines with food, and assess their gastronomic potential is fantastic."
