Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG - Trade & Media Showcase by Tyson Stelzer

Tyson Stelzer, host and presenter at the event.

Recently I had the pleasure of attending Brisbane’s trade and media masterclass of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. Hosted at the private dining room of Bisou Bisou Restaurant, in the modern Hotel X Fortitude Valley, Tyson Stelzer invited me to join such an insightful session. Always a great opportunity to learn from Australia’s leading sparkling wine expert.

Attendees were coming from all sectors of the market, on and off trade,  journalists, bloggers and educators. The multiple background of wine professionals in the room made it a more complete assessment.

Divided in 6 brackets of 3 wines, Tyson Stelzer presented the first 3 flights, which were the drier styles, in isolation, without food. Then the last 3 flights were presented alongside a 3 course lunch, allowing the sweeter styles to be appreciated with food also.

Find below my notes on the wines we got to taste on the day.
